Apex Gallery
While shopping on the West Side, I stopped in to check out an on going exhibit of photographs by Paul Strand. I had always thought of his work dealing with the portraits of immigrants, but this exhibit opened my eyes to the extent of his work in the figure and in form in general.
The ideas floating in my mind about video and my next project are multifaceted. The stereo idea using dual cameras and "freeviewing" the image is the way I would like to go. Freeviewing is looking at stereo images without the help of special glasses or devices. Two distinct images shot in unison by two cameras 2.5 inches apart would be projected on a split screen and viewed at the same time. I will be borrowing Yong's camera (since it is similar to mine) and trying a test at school this Monday.
My other ideas are two fold, one is to continue filming my family and capturing moments of interest. The other is to reactivate the Armenian Genocide video that I never completed. I think that the later has festered in my mind and created a type of phobia. But I will give it a go.
